About
Born and raised in Minneapolis, MN, and the oldest of 4 siblings, Sharon L. Nelson comes from a musical family. She’s learned from mainstream producers and directors on how to produce theatre musicals on Broadway, become proficient in understanding how to seek funding, and the ins and outs of what it takes to bring a show or an artist to Broadway.
With a background in classical music, Sharon studied piano at the MacPhail School of Music in Minneapolis, MN, which led to producing music and managing artists, the first of which was her little brother Prince Rogers Nelson, who went on to become a worldwide and world renowned icon.



Currently, Sharon is in the works of producing her own musical called “The Queen of Blues” a story about the world renowned, jazz and blues singer Dinah Washington and her inspiring walk to fame.
